If you, as a teacher, are not convinced by Christian claims - because you are an agnostic, atheist, Buddhist, Hindu, Humanist, Judaist, Muslim, or just doubtful - you can choose to withdraw from Collective Worship in your school. Pupils can also be withdrawn from Collective Worship and / or Religious Education classes. The parent or guardian must make the request for pupils under age 16. You don’t have to give any reason for the withdrawal. The following draft letter can be used for students and pupils.
